This is Day 9 of the the latest Safe Ground camp. In the face of an irate, intransigent neighbor, and an ongoing investigation by the Office of the City Attorney to solicit complaints from others, the Safe Ground pioneers continue to sand their ground.

More than 30 “Safe Ground pioneers” took a stand and claimed a new piece of land for safe ground – legally, with a lease. They are set to take on the anti-camping ordinance head on.

Every one deserves a place to sleep. Life sucks when you’ve got no job, no money and no home. We need to stop spending taxpayer dollars harassing the down and out, and treat them the exact way we would want to be treated if we were down on our luck.
